RELISH YOUR MOVEMENT - 15 MINUTE OFFERINGS
For a monthly fee, you can join in any of the classes offered below.
Why only 15 minutes?
Relish Movement is birthed from my own need for short classes.
After having done years of long hourly classes of yoga, HIIT, and strength training, I began to notice that my body did not recover like it used to. So I stopped working out because somehow I believed that any workout that was not an hour long was not beneficial at all.
From loving movement, I went to avoiding movement.
But as I went through some mysterious joint and achy pains a couple of years ago, I knew movement would be medicine to heal my body. I started small and slowly began to enjoy all types of exercises again
because I truly relished the small doses of movement.
So if you are ready to do something over nothing, I've got you Boo.
Why choose Relish Movement?
*We believe that less is more in certain phases of your life.
* We believe that movement should be gentle, nurturing and inclusive.
* Everyone can find 15 minutes in a day to pause and slow down to reconnect with themselves.
* As per Yoga Journal "even a few minutes of yoga during the day can be a game-changer."
* You can still reap the benefits of feeling strong, flexible, and renewed from a short practice.
* A short practice every weekday could be a good starting point to create a lifelong habit.

MEET ANNA PERRY
Hi, I am Anna and I live in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, with my husband and 3 children. I am a licensed clinical social worker, registered yoga instructor and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) trained teacher. After being diagnosed with Ankylosing Spondylitis that causes chronic pain and stiffness in the spine and joints, I found myself drawn to chair yoga because it is the best option for me and my body. I now teach chair yoga exclusively and my classes are gentle and beginner friendly. I love bringing my MBSR techniques into my yoga practices and look forward to sharing them with you every Monday in the Meditation class and Tuesday in the Chair Yoga class. WHAT MY STUDENTS ARE SAYING
WHAT TO EXPECT IN A RELISH YOGA CLASS
Every class is your time to create freedom in your body so that you feel comfortable in your own skin in both stillness and in movement.
We are so trained to look outside of ourselves all the time. Here you are invited to keep coming back to yourself - to listen to your body and meet yourself where you are. And move in ways that feel like self-love.
No experience required.
When you take the time for yourself to move and meditate in short bursts, you will find more ease in your mental & emotional life that will in turn help you discern and create a schedule that aids ease and joy in your life, leaving you more free time for yourself.
SAVERS-inspired class - Every Mon to Fri at 8:15 am
SAIL-inspired class- Tue/Thu at 11:15 am
Yoga - Every Mon to Fri at 3:15 pm
We recommend that you set aside a space with all that you need easily accessible. A yoga mat, a chair, stool, cushion or pillow, a strap or scarf and enough space to be able to move and meditate.
For SAVERS, you would need a journal, pen and a book that inspires you.
For Chair Yoga, you would need a chair, preferably without armrests.
For SAIL classes, you can use cans/water bottles, light dumbbells or ankle weights.
A water bottle at every class.
* In each class, we equally celebrate the pause as much as the pose. Rest is welcome any time you need it.
* You might like to pay close attention to your breathing. As best as you can, let your breathing have a quality of smoothness with a soft belly.
* It is important to know that this is your practice so you get to choose the level of challenge and pace. Challenge can mean different things at different times of our life, down to the times of day. Only you can be the judge of what is restorative and mindful. Some days, we do need to actually do a little more to stay authentic to our physical needs. And... some days less!
* When we practice together, you are welcome to sit or stand.
* Everything we offer is a suggestion, so if something does not resonate, feel free to ignore it:-).
*These classes are taught from a trauma-informed perspective and are accessible for all bodies. 'All of you' is welcome.
